Buck wheat paratha for Mahashivratri vrata

  • 1 cup Buckwheat (kuttu ka atta)
  • 50 grams Yam (suran) / Potato (Boiled& mashed )
  • 1/4 cup Cucumber (grated)
  • 1/2 tbsp Cumin seeds (Roasted)
  • 1 no. Green chilly (chopped)
  • 1 handful Coriander leaves
  • 3 tbsp Peanuts (Roasted & crushed)
  • Rock salt (to taste)
  • 1 tbsp Ghee (Clarified butter)
  1. In a mixing bowl add all the above ingredients except ghee & form dough using water start with using 1-3tbsp& begin kneading to form a soft dough.

  2. To roll the parathas, onto a rollingboard place a mosit cloth & dust some flour over it.

  3. Take a medium sized ball of the dough, fold the cloth & roll the ball with a rolling pin.

  4. Pickup the folded napkin & rotate so you get a rounded paratha.

  5. Heat a pan & place the paratha on the pan, cook on the first side partially& flip over to cook the other side.

  6. Once cooked serve hot with pumpkin raita.
